Concealed Carry and Active Shooter:
What You Need to Know in the Workplace
In light of Wisconsin's new concealed carry laws and the recent mass shooting incidents in Colorado and here at home, we are pleased to present this timely two-part session. Our guest speakers are Officer Mitchell L. Ross with the Milwaukee Police Department's Intelligence Fusion Center and Sergeant Joseph Seitz, Range Master with the MPD.
The officers will provide an overview of the CCW law, how it affects employers, and what a CCW permit-holder's responsibilities are in a worst-case scenario. They will also provide guidance on how to respond to an active shooter scenario in the workplace, including how to build staff awareness, understanding the fight-or-flight response, and how to create effective emergency plans that will keep your people as safe as possible.
Sign up today for this critically important educational session! It could save your life.
This luncheon is sponsored by WALA Business Partners, Staples Advantage and Ailco Financial Services, Inc., and is free for members to attend. It is $25 for guests.
