Topic: Finance--Sales & Use Tax

Speaker: Nathan Weber, the Section Chief in the Administrative Technical Services Section in the Division of Income, Sales & Excise Tax at the Department of Revenue

Leader: Tracey Reams, CLM

Do you need a brush-up on the WISCONSIN USE TAX RULES? Come to the October 16 WALA lunch meeting, and learn the most common use tax errors. Discover what you don’t know BEFORE an expensive use tax audit! You may want to bring along someone from your Accounts Payable Department with you.

Mr Weber was previously a large case field auditor in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue’s Oshkosh office. He has worked for the Department since June 2000 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He has also passed the CPA examination.

He has been a member of the Speakers Bureau since 2002. In addition to giving many speeches to the public, Mr. Weber gives classroom training to new field auditors and presents topics at the annual auditors conference for the Department.

For two years, he was the audit bureau’s Pass-Through Entity Specialist offering technical tax advice on partnerships, S corporations, and limited liability companies. Now Mr. Weber performs audits of some of the largest companies operating in Wisconsin.

For more information about the speaker’s presentation, please contact Tracey Reams, CLM, chair of the October 16 Madison meeting.

This meeting is sponsored by business partner, Ailco. Members are free and guests pay $20.
