The WALA Lending Library (WLL)

We are pleased to announce that we have begun preparations for a new web based resource for our chapter.

THE WLL is being created with the library premise, so that our membership will be able to share various reference books /materials on a variety of subjects from our independent libraries. They will be indexed on the WALA website and available to all WALA members to checkout as needed. For example, I will personally be donating CLM Flash Cards to the library that will be available for WALA members who are studying for the CLM exam to check out for a period of time. You will be able to connect with those members who have an interest or need in a particular subject. 

We would like for members to indicate what books they have that they would be willing to lend to fellow members.  The librarian would need the title, author, subject and if possible, a short précis of the book.  The librarian would then sort the available books by topic and send them to the webmaster for posting on the WALA website.  If a member wants to borrow a book, they would need to send an email to the librarian, who would then contact the owner and the borrower to set up pickup.  If the exchange is done face-to-face there would be no cost. However, if the borrower wants the item mailed, then the borrower would bear all costs of getting the book to and from the owner.  (Books and other resources may also be donated to the chapter if desired).
